Here are the exam instructions. (Note number 4 in particular, since there are always one or two students who fail to follow it and end up being penalized by losing 3 points on their exam grades.)
Several student questions are appended with my answers. ...mf

Exam 1a
EXAM DAY INSTRUCTIONS
YOU MAY NOT REMOVE
THIS TEST FROM THE ROOM.
DO NOT OPEN THE QUESTION PACKET
UNTIL YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO.
1. Sit in every second—usually odd-numbered—seat of your assigned row (check the projector screen), starting with the seats on the aisles on the “non-podium” side of the room.
2. Only the exam and your pencils should be on the table. Place all other belongings, including cell phones, in your bag on the floor, preferably under your seat.
3. On the answer sheet, you may start bubbling in your name and ID right away. Write your full name on this sheet, the next page, and side 1 of the answer sheet, all last name first.
4. After you are told to open the question packet, you will find the version number above the date at the top of the first question page.
5. Pay attention to any other instructions you are given.
Please read and sign the following declaration: Outside of normal class and online materials, I certify that I obtained no advance knowledge of any exam questions or content. I understand that I should fill in and code my name and id number, not my social security number, before I begin taking the exam. Missing or incorrect entries for (1) my ID number, (2) my name, and/or (3) the exam version number may cause my exam grade to be reduced by 3 points.

Question: In the 'Organizational Culture Overview' section (classes 3 & 6), for how to change a corporate culture, all that i am 100% sure is by John Kotter are the 8 steps for strong leaders. In the textbook there are also no other items that directly say they are Kotter's ideas. i'm just wondering if I am missing key information here?
Answer: Those steps are the ones that apply. The session 6 online lecture discusses strong leaders in their context as agents of culture change. Kotter's 8 steps are also discussed in greater detail in chapter 14 (Change Management).
Q: Under class 4, 'Change and Learning Organizations' I do not know what you mean by "levels and categories of change". I don't see anything regarding this in my in-class notes, your powerpoints, or the textbook. Also under class 4, both the textbook and the powerpoint slides mention the systems model of change, but in your review slides it is not listed and according to my class notes, it does not look like we went over it in class. Will it be included in the required information to know for the exam?
A: The video case we did in class, Marshall Industries, presented two levels of change: incremental change and the deeper type associated with major system implementations or other innovations such as the elimination of individual sales commissions. I sometimes refer to extreme cases of that latter, "game changing" level as "paradigmatic" change. "Categories of change" is more or less synonymous with "target elements of change," which you should know.
Q: I was wondering is there certain or must videos we need to watch for the exam, if there is can you please list them?
A: Videos and other files numbered 01-07 on ERes or educreations were mostly required by their sessions' dates. If the name of a video or any file starts with "Exam 1a," it was put there to help all students include some very important material in their study efforts.
