Blackboard Individual Assignment #3 - Due on or BEFORE FRIDAY, 2/15

 

In the "student edition" of the premium content site, go to the Manager's Hot Seat section and complete Scenario #8—Cultural Differences: Let’s Break a Deal.  Review the profiles, references, scenario, and dossier (including communications 1, 2, and 3 accessed on down the left side of that screen) before you create your report evaluating what took place in this episode. 

 

When you post your assignment as a discussion thread on Blackboard it will have 3 very short sections:

1. Begin your posting with the text of the memo you write in the "create report" section of the hot seat case.
2. Then indicate how the differences between Japan’s and the United States’ national cultural values affected the interaction between Norio Tukunada and Michael Sokolow.  Refer in this answer to one--more than that if you like--of the Hofstede’s national cultural dimensions.  (These values are outlined in our session 01-02 review slides.) 
3. The third part is based on your answers to the 6 multiple choice questions in the video exercise's SCENARIO section.  You can either summarize in the body of your text how your answers compared with the "actual" case outcomes, or you can  print screen the program's panel that outlines those differences and attach it to your posting.

The subject line should include "Asg03" with no spaces.
